Using Sift
By creating an account or using Sift, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use Sift.
Your content
Anything you create on Sift — study tracks, flashcards, notes, answers — remains yours. You grant us a limited license to host, display, and process it so that we can deliver the service to you.
If you make content publicly available (for example, by sharing a track), you also grant other users a license to view and adopt it within Sift.
Acceptable use
Sift is a learning platform. Keep it that way.
- Do not upload content that infringes copyright or other rights.
- Do not harass, impersonate, or harm other users.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service.
- Do not use Sift to distribute malware or spam.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Plans and billing
Sift offers a free tier and paid plans. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We may change pricing from time to time. Price changes take effect at your next renewal, and we will notify you before they apply.
Service changes
We are continuously improving Sift. That means features may change, be added, or be removed. We will give reasonable notice before removing features that you rely on.
Warranty and liability
Sift is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it available, accurate, and useful, but we cannot guarantee it will always be error-free.
To the extent allowed by law, Sift is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Termination
You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or put the service at risk. Upon termination, your right to use Sift ends immediately, but sections meant to survive termination (such as liability limits) remain in effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Sift Inc. is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
